I find it shameful of certain press speculation but I find even more amazing that it was not yet celebrated the funeral...

Tabloids often argue that stories of this nature are published due to them being “in the public interest”. I hope I can speak for the British public when I state wholeheartedly that we are not interested in this nonsense. We are only interested in celebrating the monumentally brilliant art that George shared with the world."

Umm I'm sorry, but actually no, this journalist does not speak for me as he/she assumes. I want to find out what happened, the truth, and not some nonsense spun by Georges PR team. If it takes a tabloid to uncover what took place that evening, then so be it.

But the tabloids don't uncover, they just make up their own news. Patience!

Why do you think a tabloid is interested in uncovering the truth rather then speculating and twisting things to sell newspapers?

And why do you think there is a truth to uncover rather than just a tragedy?

We will get a better idea of what happened when the coroner releases his report. George's PR team won't be saying a word before that.

Yes. I agree with idea of respecting him & a few have done that but many non-tabloid have focused on his private life in their so-called tributes. Huffington does its own rubbish. Rumours of alleged drugs and alcohol? I don't want excessive violation of private matters just truth about what went on. Public needs facts too for many reasons.

Yes and no. Tabloids spin things that are facts out of context. They write & print photos in such a way to play on people's minds to think something, which may be true, partially true or lie. Or just completely out of context. Total fabrications leave them vulnerable for litigation and damages their reliability so they cannot invent fact- they just recycle or write vaguely without direct accusation. They usually manipulate truth but can be correct. National Enq is sued often so they need to be careful. Remember they printed photo of OJ Simpson's shoes he lied about? Lawyers used that in civil trial as evidence.
Much as I think Daily Mail is trashy, it does print important stories mainstream papers ignore. Mainstream media tends to pick and choose what facts to report, and spins things in certain ways depending on their political affiliation. They often leave out important details. I wonder if George's relatives are leaking anonymously to papers now that he's gone because they feel the need to let people know how he was influenced. I doubt they liked seeing him go the way he did. He had enablers. They need to be called out.

George Michael's family refusing to speculate on cause of death

George Michael's relatives have urged fans to refrain from speculating on the cause of the pop icon's death until coroners reach a definitive ruling.

I've read that before. That's been out at least a week, someone just regurgitated it.

For me, never knowing the truth would be a dark shadow hovering around every 'good' memory, a song, a picture; whispering, 'what really happened to you, George?'.

Why do I think there's a truth to be known?

Everything about this is weird, from Fadi's behavior to George's manager trying to announce the cause of death that same day, the police seem to be looking for something, and there's been years of bizarre mysterious incidents and silence prior to this. Even if it was a natural cause that's still the truth.

I agree the tabloids are out of control, and usually disgusting. But, George's 'people' making a statement? That's like waiting for Godot. If the past is any indication it will be very, very vague and elusive. At best. After his years of silence, is it surprising the rags are running amok now?

You can honor someone's memory and still want to know what happened to them.

For me, although I said before that knowing the exact reason for George's death would not make any difference because nothing could bring him back, I do want to know the answer for one particular question: why did he die at the Christmas ALONE. This fact is the most upsetting to me.

But when almost everything is speculation at this point, it is even more upsetting to see and hear all the rumors about G and Fadi relationship. I feel that this tabloid circus can only do more harm to G who is no longer around to defend himself.

I'm certainly not defending rumors about that sort of thing. And it was Xmas eve. For all we know he told Fadi to go out and have a good time at a party, maybe why he slept in his car. He may have chosen to be alone. Like I've said before, I'm sure there would've been plenty of people he knew who would've loved his company.

And I am afraid of the possibility of everything ending up speculation.
